In 2011, Indy Urban Acres’ main farm was transformed from discarded and forgotten land, to a farm that grows organic produce for families in need. Now, Indy Urban Acres is more than just a place. It’s a force serving the people of Indianapolis and inspiring transformational change within Indy’s food system.

2011-2020 Indy Urban Acres, a project of The Parks Alliance of Indianapolis harvested and donated roughly 300,000 lbs of produce. That is approximately 2 million servings and about $1 million in retail value.

Indy Urban Acres also employed about 500 teens, hosted just over 11,000 volunteers, and hosted about 11,000 children for tours.
