Lori has been with The Parks Alliance since 2005, having served as the community affairs and fund development director. She has more than 27 years of experience in not-for-profit administration and development, including various roles at the Sierra Club Hoosier Chapter, Ronald McDonald House, and the American Heart Association. Lori grew up in central Indiana and has been an Indianapolis resident for 16 years, where she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband, Justin, and two daughters, Skylar and Zoe.
Jenny CashVice President, Development and Public Relations
Jenny joined The Parks Alliance in 2012 after three years managing marketing and development at Indy Parks & Recreation. Jenny is an avid Indiana University sports fan and loves all things Hoosier. Jenny was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, where she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. She moved to Indianapolis in 2008 and frequently visits Eagle Creek and Northwestway Parks with her husband, Aaron, and their four children.
Laura JohnsDevelopment Coordinator
Laura has been with The Parks Alliance since 2018 and loves the opportunity to incorporate her passion for plants and nature into her career. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Laura graduated from The Ohio State University and is a proud Buckeye living in Hoosier land. Laura enjoys spending time in Garfield Park, where she and her husband, Patrick, got married. She is currently converting their urban property, where they live with rescue pup Tootsie Roll, to an edible food forest and native pollinator habitat.
Molley MillerFund Development Manager
Molley joined The Parks Alliance in 2014 after spending nine years at Forum Credit Union. Molley attended Ivy Tech and Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, graduating with a degree in business administration. Molly was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but has called Indianapolis’ south side home for 24 years. She enjoys biking adventures at Southeastway Park with her husband, Ben, and children, Keigan and Ella.
Ashley MiserDirector of Alliances and Giving
Ashley has dedicated nearly a decade of her career to community engagement, event operations and not for profit strategy. Ashley joined The Parks Alliance team in 2021. Previously, Ashley served as Indy Hub Vice President. She has played a critical role in organizing, managing and producing experiences that support the vitality and growth of our city.
Ashley’s passion is helping people see how they can contribute to a sustainable and thriving community that values its people, culture, diversity and places.
David O’RourkeCommunications Manager
David joined The Parks Alliance in 2016 after four years in sales and communications at Wolfe Diversified Industries. David is a graduate of Franklin College, where he played football and majored in journalism with a track in public relations. An Evansville, Indiana native, he loves the outdoors and staying active in the Indianapolis community. You may find David running around Fountain Square or Garfield Park with his wife, Ashley, and their fur baby, Dyno.
Cassandra ShelbyFacilities and Maintenance Director
Cassandra worked for the City of Indianapolis for 24 years prior to joining The Parks Alliance in 2019. She appreciates the opportunity to help improve the beautification of the parks in a different way than in her previous role. An Indianapolis native, Cassandra enjoys spending time in beautiful Washington Park with her husband, Troy, and children Troy Jr, Miah, and Shila. They are also proud owners of seven dogs.
Tyler GoughIndy Urban Acres Farm Manager
Tyler joined The Parks Alliance in 2011 as the farm manager at Indy Urban Acres. Tyler has always been passionate about ending hunger, and his dedication to the farm demonstrates daily progress towards that goal. Indy Urban Acres is Tyler’s favorite Indianapolis park because it pushes the boundaries and expands the possibilities of what a park can be.
Sara LandrumGrant Writer
Sara joined The Parks Alliance in 2008 and has over ten years of experience in not-for-profit fund development. Sara works with several organizations in the City to help build capacity in grant seeking and management. She is a graduate of Hanover College and holds a master of public affairs from Indiana University. Sara and her husband, John, are avid runners and can often be found cruising along our trails and greenways. Sara grew up near Eagle Creek Park and comes back frequently to hike, jog, and explore with her family.
