Our friends at The Indianapolis Indians have been a long-time supporter of our city’s parks but stepped up even more this year to host the Sponsor Breakfast that preludes the #FunLunch in April. The Elements Financial Club was the backdrop to a morning filled with collaborations like Becker Supply and GangGang with DJ Ferris Boohler – all sneak peeks into the flair and fun one can expect at Indy’s Lunch for Parks presented by AES on Thursday, April 28.
The morning started early with the arrival of a green haze in the southwest corner of downtown – yes, you heard that right, a green haze – from the vibrant scoreboard at Victory Field.
Indy’s Lunch for Parks presented by AES Indiana has been a longstanding moment for our city’s public, private, and philanthropic sectors to come together to celebrate our city’s parks, trails, and greenways. It’s a moment that The Parks Alliance – the organization that exists to steward philanthropy on behalf of Indy Parks – takes very seriously. And this year, as we reunite after a pandemic year(s) apart it’s going to be a moment to celebrate the parks and people that use them in a big way. This luncheon is for all of the parks people: you. The park caretakers, donors, goers, walkers, hikers, and admirers. So don’t miss out on this experience.
As we get together to celebrate and have fun, it’s important to keep in mind that our parks need continuous care and maintenance. It takes a lot of time and investment to support these key assets and you – a parks person – can get involved in this effort. Here are two ways you can join in the #FunLunch efforts:
- It’s not too late to sponsor a table and invite you’re the park people in your life >> EMAIL ASHLEY MISER, email@example.com
